I came up with a tone of voice for a bot

This tech company asked The Writer for help with a chatbot’s tone of voice.

So, after interviewing the tech company’s teams, reading a bunch of chat logs, running an audit on their current writing and figuring out what their bot’s personality should be, we came up with the bot’s tone.

When writing the snippets of text for a bot, it’s very much like an adventure game. You have to figure out all the possible outcomes. What if the customer says this or that? So the guidelines were there to help people figure out what the write, how to write it well, and how to add some Easter eggs along the way.

The bot ended up doing its job twice as well as their website. Though, I can’t take all the credit.
